For holding cord-wood securely by one end for safe, unobstucted chain sawing into logs.

Unique locking device which grips wood by cantilever action, having automatically adjusted for size. Can also be used for snapping dry kindling.

Safety by holding wood securely at a convenient (adjustable) height for unobstructed sawing.

Quick and Easy sawing:
  • by eliminating the necessity for constantly moving the wood along, as with a conventional saw-horse,
  • because height can be quickly adjusted to suit operator,
  • because jaws automatically adjust for diameter of wood,
  • by enabling a wheelbarrow to be positioned to catch sawn logs.
Two simple versions - fully galvanized
  1. Free standing for any reasonably level surface. Folds for storage and splits in two for portability.
  2. Post and Socket for setting into the ground and allowing the post to be removed and replaced with ease.

The jaws and post are the same on each version and designed for holding cord-wood up to 25cm (10") in diameter for sawing into logs. The upper jaw holds in the raised position until the wood touches it then lowers until the wood is gripped between the upper and lower jaws. The same post can be used in the free-standing base or in the socket.
